Authentic Hadiths :
1. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever says when he leaves his house: 'In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah, there is no might and no power except by Allah,' it will be said to him: 'You are guided, sufficed, and protected,' and the devil will step aside from him." [Source: Abu Dawood & At-Tirmidhi].
2. Umm Salamah (RA) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) never went out of my house without raising his eye to the sky and saying: 'O Allah! I seek refuge in Thee lest I stray or be led astray, or slip or be made to slip, or cause injustice or suffer injustice, or do wrong or have wrong done to me.'" [Source: Abu Dawood].
1. Analysis of the First Hadith: "Bismillah, Tawakkaltu..."
This supplication is considered a comprehensive insurance policy for the believer. When you utter these words, the Sunnah explains that a divine response occurs immediately.

Guided (Hudita): You will be directed to what is best for your worldly and spiritual affairs.
Sufficed (Kufita): Allah will take care of your needs and worries for that journey.
Protected (Wuqita): You are shielded from accidents, harm, and evil people.
The Devil's Retreat: The Prophet (ﷺ) mentioned that Satan steps aside, realizing he has no way to influence someone who is under God's direct care.

While the first prayer focuses on protection, this prayer focuses on integrity and character during your time outside.
The Four Dimensions of Protection:
Guidance vs. Misguidance: "Lest I stray or be led astray." You ask Allah to keep your heart firm so you don't make wrong moral choices or be influenced by bad company.
Stability vs. Error: "Lest I slip or be made to slip." This refers to unintentional mistakes or lapses in judgment.
Justice vs. Oppression: "Lest I oppress or be oppressed." A powerful commitment to social ethics. You ask God to prevent you from being a bully/wrongdoer and to shield you from being a victim of others' cruelty.
Wisdom vs. Ignorance: "Lest I behave foolishly or be treated foolishly." Here, "ignorance" means losing one's temper or acting recklessly. You seek a calm, dignified interaction with society.
